Agreement
By creating an account or using Yop & Tom Garden Companion (the "service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
We provide garden planning and journaling tools "as is". We may change, suspend, or discontinue features; where practical we try to avoid surprises that affect your core data, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or compatibility with every device or browser.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and be at least the minimum age required in your country to enter into a contract for online services.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to break security or overload systems, no scraping or bulk extraction beyond normal personal use, and no use that infringes others' rights or harasses other users.
Your content
You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us the licence we need to host, store, back up, and display that content only to operate the service for you. You confirm you have the right to upload photos and text you add.
Not professional advice
Anything suggested in the app — including plant identification, care hints, or seasonal tips — is informational. It is not a substitute for qualified horticultural, medical, or safety advice. Always verify toxicity, edibility, and local regulations yourself.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data beyond our reasonable control, or loss arising from your use or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes & law
We may update these terms; continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance. Unless mandatory local law says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
